Cutting out glasses frames
Before the acetate sheet is cut,we heat it up a bit,which improves the ductility of the material.Then,with a press of a steel plate knife, the rough outline shape of the glasses frame is cut out of the acetate sheet.
Then follow the inner curve and cut out the inner frame.
Cutting out the grooves
Continue working on the inner frame to create the grooves that will hold the glasses lenses.
Perhaps it will not quite understand how this knife cuts, I’ll change the animated picture: in the frame with a blade like the one in the picture below, the grooves are cut that can be used later to catch the lenses of the glasses.
Three-dimensional cutting
After continuing to cut out the exterior of the glasses,it is necessary to move to another cutting machine,according to the model master, compared to cut the three-dimensional shape at the bridge of the nose.This principle is the same as when we go to make a key,the master will use the machine against your original key as a master.
Polishing the frame
Now turn the frame in a drum filled with polishing stones to polish the sanding step.
Take out the edge of the frame and touch it to see if there is any roughness or stickiness.
Making Temple
Temple are also the material of the acetate sheet,so the beginning of the production and the frame are the same:first heat the sheet,and then the cutter a drop material,the temple came out. Pay attention to look at the material sheet on the water droplets, which is just soaked in hot water.
After cutting out the outline, we had to heat the temple again in order to insert the wire cores as a central supporting force for the temple, relying on the strong pressure of the machine.
Glasses frame with temple
Embed the connector on the edge of the frame and screw it together with the connector on the temples.
